Gliddon Owens Design is a small, woman-owned, SWaM-certified studio specializing in fresh ideas and engaging content.
Launched in 1992, we have partnered with clients for over 25 years, in the Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Portland, ME, and Hampton Roads, VA markets.
Jeannine Owens is a creative professional with diverse and extensive experience developing content for print, web, social media, mobile, presentation, environmental, and other multi-media channels. She is a skilled collaborator and communicator and works effectively with multiple stakeholders. In addition to Gliddon Owens Design, she has worked in multiple and varied creative services environments throughout the country and taught design and illustration at Colorado State University and University of Wyoming.
She studied design at Colorado State University with Phil Risbeck, Bob Coonts, and Gene Hoffman, and was inspired by many of the world-renowned poster artists at the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibitions (CIIPE). Her Master's Degree in Humanities/Visual Studies led to research on the effect of social change Internet memes. Her thesis project, Know What I Meme? New Perspectives Beyond the Digital, presented evidence of memetic effect through curatorial direction and hybrid exhibits. She is currently working on her PhD in International Relations where her research is focused on the role that women play in foreign policy decisions within the United States.
